How To Style Your Prints

Men’s fashion has become as conspicuous as women’s; in fact there is now a ubiquitous presence of prints and patterns which have been borrowed from the popular trends of the ladies section, promoting androgynous dressing. While classic plaids and polka dots have always graced the formal style, ethnic prints with easy going fabrics such as khadi, linen and muslin also add to give you a charming and contemporary look without having to try too hard. We are blessed with plethora of rich printing styles and techniques one could choose from. Be it block prints like bagru, ajrakh, dabu, kalamkari or laborious method of hand weaving a patola or ikkat and not to forget tie and dye of bandhani or batik.

Printed shirts

While they have a crisp silhouette you can perk it up and relax it with subtle prints and colors. They would work well as formal dressing too, just don’t go overboard with the prints. Keep it clean.

Since we are already sporting prints, we’ll keep the pants subtle and classic. Go for solid dark colored chinos or and play it up with shorts for fun day events. Pair it up with linen, khadi pants or washed demins to dress down for a casual look.

Footwear and Accessories with printed tops

Throw in a good pair of espadrilles, loafers to complete the look. You can color block by wearing pop coloured loafers or quirk it up with versatile espadrilles. While wearing it with tucked in shirts don’t overdo the belt and keep it simple with classic browns or black.
